Behali Degree College stands out as one of the leading undergraduate institutions in Biswanath District, maintaining high academic standards and offering accessible, quality education to empower students from all walks of life. Recently accredited with a B+ Grade from NAAC, our college has been pivotal in providing higher education opportunities, nurturing talents, instilling true human values, and fostering universal brotherhood particularly in rural and remote areas. The increasing enrolment figures underscore the college’s significance and demand in the greater Behali area.
The college has adopted a Four-Year Undergraduate Programme (FYUGP) in line with the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020since the last academic year (2023-24). This policy promotes critical thinking, problem-solving skills, and creativity through a flexible credit-based system. It encourages interdisciplinary and multidisciplinary learning, allowing students to explore various fields of study and customize their educational journey based on their interests and aspirations. Moreover, with study centers from Krishna Kanta Handique State Open University (KKHSOU) and Gauhati University Centre for Distance and Online Education (GUCDOE) within our campus, education is easily accessible to all learners, regardless of age, and academic background.
Our college offers undergraduate courses in 13 disciplines, leading to B.A. degrees in Assamese, Economics, Education, English, History, Philosophy, Political Science, and Sanskrit, as well as B.Sc. degrees in Botany, Chemistry, Mathematics, Physics, and Zoology. Our experienced, highly qualified, and dedicated faculty members are here to guide and support you in every step of your journey, ensuring that your time at Behali Degree College is not only academically enriching but also personally fulfilling.
